Norco Deputy City Manager and Finance Director Andy Okoro has considered at least one offer to leave the city, which is struggling to gain solid financial footing.
The Daily Press in Victorville reported Wednesday that Okoro was offered a position to oversee Victorville's finances but sent the city an email less than 12 hours after his contract had been approved.
He reportedly told city officials that his family was concerned about the long commute, which would have been about an hour from his Chino home.
The position would have paid an annual salary of $80,153 and put Okoro in charge of administrative services as deputy city manager.
