A hot, sunny day with the temperature approaching 90 degrees meant it was even hotter on the track. Competition was fierce as only the top two finishers in each event advance to the state championship and potentially the national competition. Events include the 50, 100, 200 and 400 meter dash, 800 and 1600 meter run, 4x100 meter relay, softball throw and standing long jump.
