Comedy Legend Phyllis Diller Dies At Age 95

Hollywood lost another great today, comedian Phyllis Diller died today at the age of 95. She paved the way for woman in the comedy world, which up until Diller had been dominated by men. The talented woman with the cackling laugh passed away at her home in Los Angeles. According to her longtime manager Milt Suchin ?she died peacefully in her sleep with a smile on her face.? Phyllis is survived by three of her five children from her first marriage to Sherwood Anderson Diller, the marriage lasted 26 years. It was during that time that she made her way in Hollywood. After Sherwood and Phyllis divorced she married actor Warde Donovan, that marriage lasted ten years. The two did not have any children. Although she had a very long and pretty freaking amazing career as a comedian Phyllis didn?t actually begin her career until she was 37 years old. Up until that point she was a homemaker raising her children. So how does a homemaker end up a comedic icon?
