Athletes, Celebs Tweet Support After ESPN?s Stuart Scott Reveals Cancer Returns

A familiar face of sports news, ESPN anchor Stuart Scott revealed sad health news Monday that his cancer has returned.

Scott wrote his message to followers announcing the troubling news, but reassured to fans that he will continue the fight and noted that he will still keep doing his job.

Scott has battled cancer twice before, the first in 2007 when he cancer of the appendix and needed an emergency appendectomy, according to LA Times. He remained cancer free until 2011 when doctors discovered cancer in his small intestine, which required more chemotherapy and surgery, but rid the cancer until his announcement of its return on Monday.

Following the news that his cancer has returned, many famous friends showed an outpouring of support through the social media site. Below we gathered a few of the well wishes athletes and stars sent to Scott amid the news.







With so many offering support and prayers, Scott took to his Twitter once again to thank everyone for their thoughts.
